Members of this committee provide expertise, guidance, and direction for the financial health of the parish. They review revenue and expenditures and offer suggestions as to accounting/bookkeeping methods and procedures so accurate records are kept. Meetings are held on the second Monday of the month.
Praise God in his holy sanctuary,
give praise in the mighty dome of heaven.
Let everything that has breath,
give praise to the Lord. Hallelujah! Psalm 1:6
Members are responsible for engaging in specific planning for all parish liturgies and the church environment. This includes all weekend masses, holy days, communal penance services and holidays. If you have ever been curious as to inner workings of good liturgy, join the Liturgy Committee! Meetings are the fourth Monday of each month in the Martha and Mary room at 7:00p.m.
Parish Life Committee
The Parish Life Committee is a segment of parish council comprised of selected, discerned members of Pastoral Council. They promote fellowship through the planning of a variety of social events for the entire parish and often assist in serving refreshments after special celebrations. They meet one half hour before Parish Council, at 6:30pm in the Martha and Mary room.
Parish Pastoral Council is advisory to the Pastor and coordinates all the efforts within the life and ministry of the parish. It is comprised of parishioners selected each year, parishioners appointed by the pastor, and representatives of the parish staff. Standing commissions of the Pastoral Council include:
- Parish Life
- Christian Formation
- Social Concerns
- Temporal Concerns
The Council is also a vehicle for achieving full participation in parish life. Meeting monthly, the Council focuses significant attention on prayer and formation, seeing itself as more than merely involved in a 'business' meeting. Discernment for membership on the Pastoral Council takes place each year in May. Meetings are the third Monday of the month at 7:00p.m. in the Martha and Mary room.
